Honey Bear Fruit Basket Company was originally created out of the need to give employees an affordable, but tasteful holiday gift. We made fruit baskets at Christmas time as gifts for the employees of our wholesale produce company. The employees loved the fruit baskets and looked forward to receiving them every holiday. We received many compliments on the baskets from employees and others, too. Everyone told us we should start selling the fruit baskets. So, we took their advice! We started selling the baskets in 1995.
Our “Honey Bear” name comes from the original logo of our wholesale produce company, Mrs. Condies Salad Company, which has been in business in the Denver area for over 50 years. Carrots, celery, and spinach are still marketed under the Honey Bear logo in most of the major supermarket chains in the Colorado area.
We buy only premium quality fruit and take care in selecting the finest gourmet foods with only the best quality ingredients to enhance our seasonal fruit. You will find truly heavenly chocolates, rich fruit jams and jellies (mostly made fresh in Colorado), yummy flavored honeys, scrumptious fruit dips and sauces, crispy roasted nuts, sparkling apple cider and juices, dried fruits, locally baked goods, creamy cheeses, and so much more!
Each basket is packed and decorated by hand, with the greatest attention given to the quality of fruit and foods which make our baskets the very best you can give! The baskets are always hand wrapped in clear cellophane, with instructional card on “How to Take Care of Your Fruit Basket” and a Honey Bear personalized gift tag for the perfect finishing touch.
